RBG Security, the security division of ICS Facility Services, has been deemed an essential service since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

During the last several weeks, our guards across numerous sectors have demonstrated true commitment and dedication in delivering service excellence at a time when most of the world went on pause to help stop the spread of Covid-19. They exercised sound judgment and courage in maintaining business continuity in a safe and professional manner – a quality of work our clients have come to rely on us for and appreciate every day.

“We’re seeing a shift, not only in the way we perform our responsibilities, such as cleaning and disinfecting common equipment between shifts and communicating behind a mask or plexiglass shield, but also in what we deliver as part of our security service offering,” says Ron Boyko, president of RBG Security and a managing partner of ICS Facility Services. “We’re cognizant of the risks and understand that our guards extend a new level of customer service and health and safety.”

Seeing a guard as a host, concierge or health screener outside a grocery store, in a lobby of a commercial building or at the entrance of an elevator are new realities.  Our RBG guards perform tasks that don’t necessarily require a security licence but are deemed important.

“We’re now overseeing line ups and marshalling people in common spaces, such as lobbies, elevators and stairwells,” says Boyko. “We’re advising on wait times and managing crowds in and out of facilities. We’re screening people and looking for symptoms as they enter workplaces. We’re managing curbside pickups and maintaining levels of calm confidence and cooperation in public settings.”

While the whole world tries to reconfigure a new safety standard for business continuity, our guards are on the front lines representing your business and delivering your plan in a safe and professional manner. And our rapid response teams, through ICS Clean, are disinfecting cases of Covid-19 across governmental, industrial, commercial, institutional and multi-residential built environments.
